Why do we have a student ministry here at Sandy Plains?

For one reason, to love students and help them move from where they are to where God wants them to be.  We have an understanding here at Sandy Plains in our student ministry; we recognize that our city doesn't need another youth group, our city needs a group of students who are all out "Sold Out for Jesus".  That is where we get the name for our student ministry, Sold Out Students.

At Sold Out Sudent Ministry it's our desire to let what we do within the four walls of our church fill the streets around us.  We have a desire to be out in the community loving people because HE loved us.  We have a desire to be out in the community serving people because HE served us.  We have a desire to be out in the commmunity investing in people because HE invested in us.  Our goal is to reach people and witness lives changed because of their encounter with Jesus.

A message below from our student pastor, Brian...

A personal mantra of mine is this, to help people move from ordinary to extraordinary in their walk with HIM.  I'm a flip flop waring, fast talking, quick moving, bald headed lover of Jesus.  My goal is to teach students how to be all that God needs them to be.  My goal is to provide an environment where students can engage with God, meet face to face with him, and experience life change.  Students deal with real issues, struggle with problems, and have relationship concerns like everyone else.  Parents, I'm not a babysitter, I'm an investor who wants to pour into your students-let's partner together and let HIM work in the life of your teenager!
